Effective Date: 20/10/2024
At HarvellTech, we take pride in the quality and durability of our custom-built PCs. Every system is crafted with precision and attention to detail, and we stand by our work with a comprehensive 5-year warranty. This warranty provides peace of mind, covering any defects or malfunctions that may occur under normal use conditions, as defined below.
This warranty is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer protection laws.
1. Full Coverage: First 2 Years (Parts, Labor & Shipping)
During the first two (2) years from the original date of purchase, HarvellTech will cover:
- Parts: Replacement or repair of defective hardware components, provided there is no overclocking, unauthorized modifications, or physical damage to the components.
- Labor: The labor required to diagnose and repair any issues.
- Shipping Costs: We will cover the cost of shipping both to and from our service center for any warranty-covered repairs. Please note that within the first 6 months, shipping costs will always be covered where the fault is presumed to have existed at the time of purchase.
2. Limited Coverage: Years 3 to 5 (Labor Only)
For the following three (3) years (years 3, 4, and 5), our warranty will cover:
- Labor: Free labor for diagnosing and repairing your system. However, customers are responsible for:
- The cost of any replacement parts.
- Shipping costs to and from our service center.
Warranty Terms & Conditions
1. What is Covered?
This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship for the following HarvellTech products:
- Custom-built PCs: Any components that are part of your system's original build, including but not limited to the CPU, GPU, RAM, motherboard, PSU, and storage.
- Accessories: Accessories that are part of the original purchase may also be covered under their respective manufacturer warranties.
2. Pre-Shipment Testing & Certification
Each HarvellTech custom-built PC undergoes a series of comprehensive hardware tests before shipment to ensure it is in full working condition. Customers will receive a certified test document with their system, signed and dated by a HarvellTech technician, confirming the product passed all functionality and quality checks at the time of dispatch. This certification includes tests for hardware performance, stability, and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
This document serves as supporting evidence that the product was in working condition upon leaving our facility. However, it does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which presumes that goods developing a fault within the first 6 months were faulty at the time of delivery unless proven otherwise.
3. Conditions for Parts Coverage (First 2 Years Only)
Parts will be replaced or repaired only if:
- There has been no overclocking beyond the manufacturer’s specifications.
- The components have not been physically damaged or altered through unauthorized modifications or tampering.
- The system has not been misused or improperly installed or handled (including damage from external factors like liquid spills, power surges, or improper environmental conditions).
4. What is Not Covered?
The HarvellTech warranty does not cover:
- Overclocking: Any damage or malfunction resulting from overclocking components beyond their factory settings.
- Unauthorized Modifications: Damage caused by unauthorized repairs, upgrades, or modifications to the original system.
- Physical Damage: Damage caused by accidents, impacts, spills, or neglect (e.g., liquid damage, drops, or external force).
- Software Issues: Problems related to software, viruses, or user-installed programs.
- Normal Wear and Tear: Routine maintenance, cosmetic damage, or wear and tear from normal usage, including degradation of batteries, screen brightness, or other naturally deteriorating components.
- Third-Party Components: Parts not included in the original build (such as aftermarket modifications or upgrades), as well as any resulting damage from their use or installation.
5. Warranty Claim Process
To initiate a warranty claim:
- Contact Us: Please contact HarvellTech Support using our contact form to start a claim. Provide your original purchase receipt or order number, along with a detailed description of the issue.
- Diagnostics: Our team will work with you to troubleshoot the issue remotely, and if necessary, arrange for return shipping.
- Shipping Instructions (Years 1-2): If a return is required, we will provide you with a pre-paid shipping label to cover the cost of shipping your system to our service center.
- Shipping Instructions (Years 3-5): You are responsible for the shipping costs both to and from our service center. We recommend using a tracked shipping method to ensure safe delivery.
- Repair/Replacement: Once we receive the system, we will diagnose the problem. If a covered part is defective within the first two years and meets the conditions mentioned, we will replace it free of charge. After the second year, replacement parts will be billed to the customer.
- Return: Once repairs are complete, we will ship the system back to you (shipping is covered during the first two years; at your cost during years 3-5).
6. Limitations of Liability
- HarvellTech is not responsible for data loss during repairs. Customers are responsible for backing up all important data before sending their system for service.
- This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. Any resale or transfer of ownership voids the warranty.
- The warranty is valid only for products purchased directly from HarvellTech or an authorized reseller.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This warranty is governed by the laws of England, and any disputes arising from this warranty will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
8. Force Majeure
HarvellTech is not liable for any failure or delay in performance under this warranty due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of war, terrorism, labor disputes, or governmental regulations.
